Captain & Skipper
Captain Giannis has dedicated his life to the sea — and it shows in every charter he leads. His sailing journey began at the age of five in competitive dinghy racing. In 1996 he was awarded the distinction of Youth Sailor of the Year in Greece and went on to represent his country on the Greek National Sailing Team, competing at National, European and World championship levels over the following six years.
Alongside his sailing career, Giannis earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Glasgow, graduating with merit, and worked as a biomedical engineer in major Greek hospitals from 2005 to 2017 — a background that speaks to his precision, composure and ability to perform under pressure.
Since 2005 he has been a certified Yachtmaster Instructor in Greece. Between 2006 and 2012 he competed in Offshore Racing Congress (ORC) events, earning multiple distinctions. In 2012 he transitioned to professional charter, and has since spent between 19 and 25 weeks each year at sea, commanding vessels ranging from high-performance monohulls to luxury catamarans throughout the Greek islands.
Giannis brings exceptional local knowledge to every voyage — and holds firmly to the belief that there is always another corner of Greece left to discover. He approaches every charter with three principles: safety, personalised service, and unforgettable experiences. Whether that means a secluded anchorage far from the crowds, a waterfront taverna only locals know, or a tailored programme of sailing and water sports — every day is adapted to your interests and preferences. Giannis is equally committed to protecting the waters he sails — running Ocean Lounge with onboard recycling and a plastic-free approach to drinking water, so these islands remain as beautiful for the next generation of sailors.
A passionate photographer, drone pilot and videographer, Giannis documents the beauty of every destination he visits. He is fluent in Greek and English, and is known aboard for his warm personality, engaging local insight and genuine enthusiasm for the people he meets.
Giannis is an elected member of the Greek Union of Captains and Crew Members, currently serving as General Secretary — an active contributor to the advancement of the professional yachting industry in Greece.

Private Chef
Alexandra was born in 1979 and grew up in Athens. From an early age she developed two great passions — cooking and sailing — that would in time shape her career.
She holds a Professional Diploma in Culinary Arts, awarded with distinction by the Le Monde Institute, as well as an Offshore Sailing Licence. After beginning her career in restaurants, she decided in 2010 to combine her culinary training with her love of the sea by cooking aboard yachts.
Aboard Ocean Lounge, Alexandra plans every menu around your group's tastes and dietary needs — a quiet breakfast at anchor, a long mezze lunch on the foredeck, or a dinner served on deck beneath the stars.
Every meal is prepared fresh, with locally sourced ingredients and with her attention to detail.
Warm, cheerful and genuinely caring, Alexandra takes quiet pride in making guests feel looked after without ever feeling managed.
Away from the galley, she enjoys reading, tennis, travel, and seeking out new culinary inspiration.
